As a result of a horrible nightmare my family and I were involved in with the “Contractor From Hell” leading to litigation and the shocking discovery of how little oversight there is from the Contractors State License Board, ContractorsFromHell.com was born.
In an effort to help others avoid or at the very least mitigate problems with their home remodeling contractors the information and resources provided on the site are guidelines to help consumers go through the necessary research before they hire a contractor and sign a contract that is detailed and understood by both parties.
As for those homeowners who unfortunately find themselves in the midst of a home remodeling nightmare there is some good advice and steps they can take to begin the process of documenting problems, shoddy work, lack of response from the contractor and ultimately filing complaints with State Regulatory Agencies that govern contractor laws including pursuing civil litigation if necessary.
Bottom line: The more you know before hand the better off you’ll be. So please… Don’t get burned…get informed!
